Don't Kiss Them Goodbye - Allison Dubois

I have had an interest in psychics and mediums for as long as I can remember. I am also a big believer in everything happening for a reason, following my intuition and paying attention to “signs” which if followed, lead us to where we need to be. Recently quite a number of people have brought up psychics and energy in conversations with me, people I did not know believed in such things and it was also quite random and unexpected. So I took this as a sign to broaden my knowledge and study this topic a little more. I have started by reading, Don’t Kiss Them Goodbye by Allison Dubois.
While interning at the homicide bureau of the district attorney’s office, Allison Dubois found that she could do something remarkable. As she laid out the crime scene photos and gathered information, she revealed that she could see the crime through the eyes of the perpetrator and the victim. This experience prompted Allison to examine the full extent of her abilities. Instead of trying to suppress her gifts, she decided to fully own them. In this fascinating book, Allison chronicles her visions through the thin veil between life and death.
This book was a glimpse into the life of a psychic that works with the police and an autobiography of Allison’s personal experiences with her gift. Each chapter talks about these experiences, especially surrounding those she has loved and lost. She also talks about scientific tests she has taken part in that research human energy. This was a very interesting read. From the touching stories about different individuals and the tragedies they have suffered to the scientific aspect, and then to Allison’s husbands perspective on her gift, this book offers a little bit of everything. I recommend this book if you enjoy books about psychics and the afterlife. If you’re a skeptic you may find this a little hard to swallow.
