After the natural disaster of Hurricane Katrina and the man-made horror of the explosion at the vampire summit, Sookie Stackhouse is safe but dazed, yearning for things to get back to normal. But her boyfriend, Quinn, is among the missing. And things are changing, whether the Weres and vamps in her corner of Louisiana like it or not. In the ensuing battles, Sookie faces danger, death… and, once more, betrayed by someone she loves. And when the fur has finished flying and the cold blood has ceased flowing, her world will be forever altered…
Once again, another great Sookie Stackhouse story! Charlaine Harris is consistent in bringing us a book full of drama, mystery and action! One thing I really love about these books is that Sookie is just an average girl (well, not quite) but she balances work, her everyday chores and relationships with the supernatural. This works really well and I am looking forward to reading Sookie book number 9 as soon as I can find it in the right cover (they all have to match you know). This book ended in a way that was very interesting and I am looking forward to seeing how this new development pans out.
